Types of Hard Floor Programs
  • Restore: Chemical additive used in mop water to repair scratches
and other minor imperfection. Requires high speed burnishing to re-
    harden floor.
  • Burnish: Routine floor maintenance program. Highly specialized
floor equipment operation from 1000 RPM - 3000 RPM. Program
utilizes heat and friction created from the pad to the floor to
repair minor scratches and abrasions. The end result will yield a
freshly waxed look. Floor must be in acceptable condition to get
    results.
  • Spray Buff (Low Speed): Routine floor maintenance program
utilizing low speed floor equipment and highly specialized
chemicals to remove scratches, ground-in dirt, and abrasions
from resilient floors. Failure to follow scheduled programs can
increase frequency of required strip and wax. Required for anti-
    static floors.
  • Scrub and Re-coat: Periodic floor maintenance program. Machine
scrub topcoat of finish to remove scratches and ground-in dirt.
Finish with one to three coats of fresh finish.
  • Machine Scrub (Non-Resilient Floor Surface:) Can be used as a
cleaning as well as a maintenance program for hard floors. Low speed
floor equipment, specialized floor brushes and wet vacuum are
required. Primarily used in restroom's and entryways of tile
construction. Most efficient way of cleaning grout. Changing chemicals
used can drastically change the end result.
  • Strip and wax: All built-up wax or sealer is completely removed and
using specialized chemicals, low speed floor equipment, specialized
floor brush, and wet vacuum. Two coats of sealer and three coats of
specialized floor finish are used as a base. Should be done every 12 -
18 months, depending upon traffic and maintenance program.
